In addition to the other tips I’ve provided on the website, here’s another one to help you become a more successful loser. Amid all of the weight-loss tips and tricks out there, there are a few more things to help you lose faster. Exercise and journaling. You might be rolling your eyes at this point, but both of these in combination can give you big results on the scale!

If you are someone who doesn’t exercise at all, set a small goal each week to exercise for 20 minutes each day. It is even ok to perform 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes at night. This will help alleviate all of the “I don’t have time to exercise” excuses. Make it something enjoyable. A walk, swim, cleaning your house, or even dancing to some music can help you work off those calories! Turn on the music and clean at the same time. That’s multitasking at its best! Just make sure that you get your heart rate up to at least the moderate heart rate zone or it doesn’t count. I know that exercising is not always fun, but if you don’t think of it as exercise, you’ll learn to like it. It’s not only important for weight loss, but your heart and brain need it too! After working out for several weeks, you’ll be surprised at how much you enjoy it and how your body responds. Invest in a good pedometer and try to reach 10,000 steps a day! *Remember, if you burn up 500 calories a day exercising, you will drop a pound in a week.

Make a journal of what you’re eating each day. Most cell phones have an application that will track your calories, but you have to be the one to input them. Use my daily calorie calculator and make sure that you track everything, even if it’s just a bite! You’ll be surprised at the end of 7 short days how these small changes can show results on the scale but more importantly, the changes to your health!
